We all deserve to have the best in life regardless of where we are, individually, on our path of self-discovery. To think otherwise is to cheat ourselves. Think of it this way: our existence, this physical plane, is the soul's playground. We can either have a great time, or we can allow the bullies to cloud our vision and destroy our spirit, enabling us to feel miserable, outcast, and lonely. The only person who has the power to make us feel wonderful or horrible is ourselves.
Those that are controlled by the bad events in their lives are like a dog chained to a pole. The pole is all the negativity in our lives, the bad feelings and judgments of ourselves and others. The chain is our ego, or our conscious mind, and the dog is our loving spirit. The loving spirit tries to break free and ends up just running around the pole, repeating the scenarios in life that keep us tied to the pole. For instance, I have been looking for a job for over a year and have not found one. In my mind, I believe it to be fruitless to keep trying because nothing comes of it; all I get is rejection after rejection. This thought, alone, has the power to keep me being rejected. That is where my mind is focused and that is what will keep repeating,. After enough time of this, I can either spiral down further, or I can change my mind and my perspective. The choice is mine, hence our free will. As long as we allow our mind to hold onto all the crap in our lives, our spirit will never be free.
We are all part of the divine loving spirit; we are all made of the same stuff, as well as all the animals, trees, insects, and every living thing in this universe. We all have our purpose in being here and we all have our own path to follow. It is not up to us to determine or judge another's path in life. There are where they need to be, even if they are a terrorist, murderer, rapist, priest, the President, wherever their path has led them. Each of us have determined within our divine spirit what we need out of this life.
How can I say that? you ask? How can a murderer be on a path and me not judge? How can that be right? It goes against all the teachings of the bible...haven't you heard the 10 commandments?? What is wrong with you?
Yes I have heard them all.
Does this really go against the teachings of Jesus? Or does it go against the teachings of man's interpretation?
Let's take a look:
Mark 11:24 (King James Version): Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
Mark 11:25 And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. Mark 11:26 But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.
What does this mean? Well, my belief is that whatever it is we want out of life, the focus of our prayer, if we truly believe that we deserve it and it is ours, it will be. Does this mean that when you wake up in the morning that a million dollars will be in your bank account? No. The universe has its own time frame, and it doesn't always match up with our own. Also it means to live in a state of loving grace, forgiving ourselves and forgiving others of what they have done to harm you.
I truly believe Jesus was the most enlightened individual that has ever lived. He not only understood the Universal Laws, but he lived them. Through his parables and teachings he tried to establish an understanding of these Laws and Truths. We as humans, locked into our own egotistical existence have through the years changed, re-interpreted, and re-translated his words to mean something totally different. God, the loving spirit, is not outside us, he is not something that floats in the sky, he is not even a "he", but a boundless energy that permeates through us all.
I truly believe that Jesus tried to relay that message, but he did it in such a way that only the people that were truly ready to see the "kingdom of heaven" would understand it's meaning.
Anyway, thank you for following me as I have completely gotten off the topic I was planning on writing about. I guess that is the benefit of blogging on the fly, it takes us where we were meant to go and not where we planned on going.
Back to what I was saying about thoughts becoming our reality; what we believe about ourselves manifesting on the physical plane. I am going to create a visualization board which contains everything where I want to be in life, what I want to be doing, where I want to live, and who I want to be. I will hang this up and focus on it everyday, putting all my thoughts and energy into it and see where it takes me along my journey.
Until next time....
